We encourage you to come and visit the School. Girls and boys join Garden House in the September after they reach three or four years of age. Boys may also join the School at 8 years of age.
If you would like to receive an Application Form and School Prospectus, please fill in the Request Form* below and these will be sent to you. Once your child has been born and the Application Form completed, please return it to us with a cheque for £120.
*(Please note, by completing the Application Form Request we will send you the relevant paperwork. Only once the paperwork has been completed and returned will your child's details be on record).
Once received, we will send you an acknowledgement, confirming your child’s name has been placed on the relevant waiting list.
We recommend an early completion of our Application Form as the waiting list usually closes well before your child would start. Garden House operates a sibling policy, giving priority to girls and boys who have siblings already in the School.
Once a family has registered their child at Garden House, they will not hear from the School again until a year before their child’s designated year of entry. This process then starts with Mrs Strafford, our Registrar, writing to families regarding the assessments. Parents who have applied for Kindergarten are written to in the September before their child’s year of entry and their assessments take place the following month.
Parents who have applied for Preparatory are written to in the October before their child’s year of entry and their assessments take place during the following January. All places at Garden House are decided upon after the assessments have taken place. If we are able to offer your child a place, we ask you to complete our Registration Form and confirm your acceptance of the place by returning this with payment of a £2,000 Registration Fee. This sum is credited to your child’s last term’s school fees as long as the appropriate notice has been given.
Occasionally places become available on an ad hoc basis for children further up the School. Please contact our Registrar, Sophie Strafford by email email@example.com or by telephone on +44 (0)20 7730 1652.
Parents of children who have registered their child for Garden House School are welcome to visit on one of the weekly Open Mornings. The Open Mornings give prospective parents the opportunity both to see the School in action on a normal School day and to meet the respective Head.
Should you wish to arrange a place on an Open Morning, please telephone either the Boys’ School Office on +44 (0)20 7730 6652 or the Girls’ School Office on +44 (0)20 7730 1652.
