CAREERS AT GARDEN HOUSE SCHOOL

Garden House School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure Barring Service.

Garden House School is looking for enthusiastic, motivated and dedicated staff to join the School in the following roles:

Peripatetic Singing Teacher (self employed & part time) from January 2025

We are currently welcoming applications from self-employed peripatetic singing teachers. Applicants should be enthusiastic and confident and able to support and inspire children to foster their eagerness for learning singing. They should also be able to play the piano to accompany their pupils during their lessons.

This is a part-time position to deliver singing lessons to pupils from Year 2 to Year 6 across the school and is available on a Thursday during term time from January 2025. Candidates who are unable to commit to a Thursday should not apply for this position.

The deadline is Monday 9th December with interviews during the afternoon of Wednesday 11th December.

KS1 and KS2 Teaching Assistants (full-time) January 2025

We are currently welcoming applications from teaching assistants who have a willingness to contribute fully to life at Garden House School. Ideally, candidates should be graduates with a desire to become a teacher in the future or professionals with a relevant level 3 qualification.

Applicants should be enthusiastic and confident and able to support and inspire children to foster their eagerness for learning. They will also have the skills and maturity required to take on the teaching assistant duties and responsibilities outlined in the job description.

KS1 Teacher Girls School (Full Time) April 2025

We are currently welcoming applications from teachers with experience of teaching in Key Stage 1 for a class teacher position starting in the Summer Term 2025 at the end of April. You will join an innovative, forward-thinking and committed team of dynamic teachers who are able to inspire pupils of all abilities to develop their full potential.

Our boys and girls gain places and scholarships at some of the most prestigious day and boarding schools in the country. However, while our academic standards are very high, this is not to the detriment of all the other vital elements of our provision nor to that of our core tenet: a happy and well-spent childhood. A broad and balanced curriculum is central to our history and ethos, and success in the creative arts or on the sports fields is celebrated and encouraged just as much as success in the traditional academic subjects.

Please note we will consider applications received before the end of term on Wednesday, 11th December 2024. Otherwise we will consider applications when we return at the end of December 2024 for interview in January 2025.
